Life Preservers Research

Using Life Preservers, research has been done in the areas of science games, gender, play style, and learning.  We are trying to learn how to make better educational video games.  We work with teachers on our research projects.  We appreciate partnerships with teachers and protect their privacy. We do not share personal identifying information with anyone other than the Life Preserver team.  Student data from classes is collected anonymously, we do not know who the students are.  Our research studies are always pre-approved by our University’s Institutional Review Board.  Parental consent forms and child assent forms are always collected from each participant.
